MECHANIC - DIESEL / HEAVY EQUIPMENT

Pay: $14-18/hr - DOE
Laid back, but high performing operation. Looking for people with SOLID work histories, and SOLID work ethics. Company specializes in the service and installation of truck accessories and after-market add-ons. Plows, lights, cranes, boom lifts, lift gates, tools boxes, lighting packages, etc. Mechs do not need to be certified.
The primary responsibility of this position is to perform the installation and repair of truck equipment and accessories to customer vehicles. Mechs are responsible for reviewing and understanding install/repair job orders and installation instructions.
Drilling holes in steel frames/other parts as needed.
Electrical wiring and control systems
Installing hydraulic systems.
Shortening and/or lengthening truck frames
Building or repairing supports or framework for equipment and accessories.
Welding parts and support frames.
Fabricating parts, part attachments, and support mechanisms as needed. Installing valves and hoses as needed. Checking installations for proper fitment and quality, including hydraulic inspection. (cuts or breaks in hoses, cylinder functioning, etc).

Band Saw Table Saw Plasma Cutter
Air Tools, Compressors, ratchets, drills, blow guns
a) MUST have your own box/set of tools
b) Experience with mechanics, installation, repair, maintenance and service.
b) Experience in a mechanic environment, service, repair or body shop
c) Basic experience with hydraulic and electrical systems and installations.
d) Basic experience with welding, cutting, and fabrication.
e) Knowledge and aptitude for vehicle mechanics and structural engineering.
f) Must be able to speak, write and comprehend English
g) Must pass the ASE E1 test for Truck Equipment Mechanics within 1 year of employment.
