POSITION SUMMARY 
 
This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and indirectly to the Plant Manager. This is an hourly position. 
 
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
 
The primary responsibilities of a Maintenance Mechanic position include, but are not limited to the following duties:
  1. Complete and excel at general repair and maintenance within the production facility and grounds.
  2. Complete and excel at basic electrical repair and maintenance.
  3. Have the ability to work with vibrating tools.
  4. Have the ability and willingness to work with heights and climb ladders.
  5. Other duties as assigned. 
 
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
 
  1. Must possess the ability to operate MIG, TIG and stick welder, as well as cutting torches and other various power tools
  2. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  3. Must possess basic mechanical knowledge and possess above average mechanical aptitude.
  4. Possess acceptable reading and writing skills to effectively communicate and process written instructions.
  5. Possess the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time as well as work in confined areas.
  6. Able to submit and pass company Basic Aptitude Test and Forklift Training Program.
  7. Ability to lift heavy objects of equipment, furniture, etc.
  8. Pass a pre-employment drug screen as well as submit to random testing throughout the year.
  9. High School Diploma or GED 
  10. Have Electrical and PLC experience
