Must make sure the part is to customer specifications and engineering drawing. Requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision. Must evaluate defects based on inspection criteria and alert Quality Leads to disposition suspect product.  PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Entry level inspector
  2. Follow applicable procedures, instructions, engineering drawings and training.
  3. Verifies completed sealed product with seal width of 1/8th  minimum per Katecho standard using fixtures as required by MDR in a timely manner.
  4. Verifies in line peeling of liner in a timely manner.
  5. Verifies all lot codes are legible and present per MDR in a timely manner.
  6. Verifies IFU’ s are used where applicable and quantity used are accurate.
  7. Verifies box count prior to closing.
  8. Verifies programming using laptops, AEDs or other equipment as necessary. 
  9. Assists in removing of product for finished order in the cell they are working in. 
  10. Alerts Production Lead, Quality Lead or Supervisor of any issues that arise during a production run.
  11. Work as part of the team with the other employees assigned to the production cell.
  12. Maintain cycle time set by manufacturing when performing inspections.
  13. Perform critical inspections items that may affect the function of the product such as seal verification, lot codes, pouch distributions and boxing verifications.
  14. Evaluate product defects and make decisions regarding the status of the product based on the inspection criteria. Notify Supervisor of defective parts. 
  15. Quality FLI’ s overrule job descriptions, as FLI’ s get reviewed and changed constantly.  
  1. Request necessary supplies and resources required to complete the jobs assigned.
  2. Reject nonconforming product.
  3. Alert supervision regarding problems with materials, assemblies, tools, etc.
  4. Accept product within specification.
  1. Attention for detail, and the ability to accurately record testing results and inspection criteria on quality records.   Must be able to complete a position assessment test.
  2. Able to perform routine tasks on a continuing basis.
  3. Able to correctly inspect and test product according to instructions, engineering drawings, customer specifications and training.
  4. Able to correctly use required tools, fixtures, rulers, testing equipment, etc. involved in the testing and inspection processes.  
  5. Able to communicate and work with others as a team.
  6. Able to read and write English.
  7. Able to read and understand the product criteria on engineering drawings.
  8. Able to recognize quality problems with materials, work in process, and the final product.  
  9. Good work attendance and dependability.
  10. If working nights or shifts with minimal supervision, must be able to pass a criminal background check.
