Regional Account Manager – Eastern Iowa

The Regional Account Manager is responsible for oversight of all operations for janitorial services in and around Eastern Iowa. In addition to managing staff and ensuring work orders from clients and standard janitorial duties in multiple buildings are complete each night, the Regional Account Manager is expected to supervise all operations managers and provide adequate training and support to operations teams.

PAY: $18 - $25 per hour

TBD – Based upon skill/experience

HOURS: Hours are varied and dependent upon job needs. The director of operations will be required to work 40+ hours a week, but schedule may vary for days Sunday through Saturday.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

1-2 Years of Experience in a Project Management Role is Required.

Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation, as well as a clean driving record.

Must be 18 or older.

A background check will be necessary on our end, you will be required to submit to a background check.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (May include but are not limited to):

- Oversee day-to-day company janitorial operations

- Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes for our janitorial division.

- Working with Human Resources to develop and implement job descriptions and staff evaluation

parameters.

- Managing procurement and resource allocation.

- Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions.

- Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of operations.

- Interview, hire, train, and mentor the operations management team.

- Provide regular performance updates to the operations management team.

- Conduct incident investigations for the company and the clients we serve.

- Work with human resources to resolve performance discrepancies and disciplinary proceedings.

- Attend required staff meetings with the senior leadership team and the operations teams.

- Audit all employee schedules and timekeeping for accuracy.

- Work with human resources to ensure all training / compliance requirements are met.

- Take work orders and communications from the office and relay them to front-line cleaning team

members to complete necessary requests

- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions in multiple locations to complete all

cleaning duties and maintain standard of excellence with staff based on approved cleaning

specifications

- Conduct audits on a regular basis and report back to customer service teams.

- Conduct client visits daily and report back to Executive Team.

Duties also may include training team members who are:

- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.

- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.

- Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.

- Providing feedback to the office on inventory levels for ordering in client buildings.

- Helping to restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.

- Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.

- Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.

- Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.

- Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.

- Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals. - Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.

- The work requires routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing less than 50 lbs.
