JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a friendly and professional person who enjoys working with children to fill an associate position at a school library here in Fort Madison, IA. This position is full time day shift hours, approx. 7 hours per day. $11/hour starting wage. 

JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITES
• Work closely in a friendly and professional mannerism with Librarian, staff, and students 
• Be able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities 
• Assist students and staff to locate materials and information
 • Process new materials and books received 
• Check in and shelve returning materials
 • Oversee the general neatness and attractiveness of the library and its displays
 • Knowledge of basic technology 
• Attend work regularly and promptly 
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others
 • Establish a supportive and compassionate relationship with students 
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITES:
• The qualified applicant must have one of the following: 
• Completed 60 hours of college course work; or 
• Obtained an Associate of Arts Degree (or higher); or 
• Obtained voluntary certification through the Board of Educational Examiners; or
 • Have an NCRC (National Career Readiness Certificate, Bronze Level
