Machine Shop Assistant

JOB SUMMARY
WorkSource has been working with a primarily military contracting Machine Shop in the North Kansas City area for a few years. They develop and sell very intricate and cool pieces. Frames for Destroyer class naval ship engines etc. We are looking for experienced Machine Shop Assistants to add to the overnight team. This is not a machine operator, even a CNC operator position. The ideal candidate for this position has 1-2 years of experience in a machine shop environment, assisting machinists and familiar with deburring parts

3rd shift: · 10p-6:30a m-f 

$17-$25 an hour

JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITES

· Able to read blue prints

· Machine shop experience

· Tooling inventory

· Use of ID/OD mic’s

· Reaming holes

· Operating Bridgeport/manual lathe

· Operate drill press and or magnetic drill

· Grinding and deburring parts after machining

Ability to Multi-task and work with a team in a fast-paced environment.
